and yes, the zipper is on the top, but it's waterproof and folds over so i don't think it's a critical flaw.
it didn't turn out looking anything like it but i've been thinking about the expanded tote universe because of stuff like the hungry fancy tote and the 1733 daily tote

i did ride 145 miles over the course of two days last weekend and it was like a full reset for the soul, the Empire State trail is an absolute treasure
