I’ve always felt that uniformed NYPD is a law enforcement agency that also does PR in a sense. They are as much a symbol of NYC as the yellow taxis and the Empire State Building. When you’re visiting, out and about, seeing them on the streets is reassuring.

It’s certainly a fair critique of the horse race commentary that we get for mainstream political analysis. Hell, if you only followed stuff at the other place, you’d have thought the exact opposite was going to happen.

I’ve noticed Fox Sports has a wook on their payroll. The other night they went to break playing Shakedown. This was the middle of the 8th. In years past, lots of Phish and Dead on Seattle broadcasts. We will know if the vibes are good if that wook is working.
