It definitely would’ve mattered. Others might’ve felt safe rejecting him and secondly, he would have done the right thing! The thing he KNEW was right.

What the hell?! Why should he, one man, not a Doctor or a scientist be able to dictate something like this?! I blame Republicans in congress that approved him for the job. They ALL deserve to be swept out of office!
