Actually an insult to even compare today's Ukraine to traditional Russian-level corruption. For that matter Ukraine is now less corrupt than the EU, and well above Trump's USA. And it is all an organic movement from Ukrainians themselves demanding better government.

It pisses off the left, who if they vote anyone other than Liberal makes it a vote for actual fascists. The PM is doing this to get more soft conservative votes, and pushing the CPC into becoming an even more wingnut Christofascist party. In the end it's not getting built, so good gamble IMHO.

My own theory is it doesn't matter. No private company will invest in this, and Mr Carney knows this. So it will not go ahead anyhow.

Teaching is a real job, and Trudeau isn't the only ex-PM who used to be a teacher (Conservative PM Borden for starters). Someone who's never held an actual job and who's lived off the government teat their whole life, is the last person who should criticize ANY former teacher.
