She just rocked launched herself off the bed to go see if there was a toy under the scratcher (there wasn't). Cats are great.

It's okay to feel uncomfortable sometimes. It's not fun, but it can be beneficial.

And if your response is, "why would I watch a movie with blackface in it?" Well, one, it's an otherwise good movie. Two, avoiding uncomfortable parts of our history can lead to not being aware or denying that it happened. Or excusing it as "from another time" when it *still happens.*

Hereditary was great for the communal experience. I went alone, and yet the vibe in that theater was "we're all in this together." Then I went out to my car and laughed for like 10 minutes because that's my endorphin response.
