I was listening to back episodes of I Know Dino (a fantastic paleontology podcast if you haven't heard of it), and Garret called Scutellosaurus "scutey" and this popped into my head, so I just had to draw it!

When I say "my cat", I am in no way implying that I own him. I mean it more along the lines of "my boss" or "my feudal lord".

I just realized the startling number of similarities between cats and Gollum:
- Big round eyes that shine in the dark
- Love of fish
- Making gross coughing noises from deep in the throat
- Sitting in the dark talking to themselves
- A personality that vacillates between endearing and murderous

Happy #FossilFriday! The Columbian #Mammoth was one of the largest species of mammoth to walk the Earth and roamed North America until ~11,000 years ago. The skull of one of these giants (#MOR604) is on display in the #Cenozoic Corridor at #MOR.
