An example of my fantasy pixel font called Knightwood, showing thematic fantasy words from A-Z. Below are examples of words, numbers, and symbols commonly used in video games (such as for high scores, xp, timers, and progress). A decorative border frames the showcase, and dungeon chains hang in the background - these are box drawing elements included in the font that you can type using text! A showcase of pixel art paper GUI elements made using my pixel paper pack tileset. Examples include horizontal pages that can be pristine, have subtle or deep fold lines, curled corners, rips, snags, or burn marks. Ribbons and banners with elegant loops can be used for titles and headings and work well with fantasy themes! A pixel art showcase of blank character body types, each in masculine and feminine forms. They are 16 x 48 pixels and use 5 colours. Trim Jim: an "average" body type of those shown in this example. Gym Jim: a strong and highly muscular build. Grim Jim: a skeleton (center). Slim Jim: a slender, skinny body type. Chin Jim: an overweight body type. My entry for the pixel art Septembit 2025 challenge, where I created 1-bit assets based on word prompts and pre-defined sizes. The final prompt was to use all of the assets to create a "city"! I chose instead to make part of a top down town inspired by The Legend of Zelda titles on Gameboy consoles :D This is the non-animated version, featuring a river, rower, railway tracks and a cart, different houses, a great fairy fountain, whispering stone, and environment tiles like paths, grass, bushes, and plants. Title scroll: "The Legend of Septembit, 2025" The scroll and fonts are also my own design using previously made assets.

(which you can slap filters on if you only want to see certain folders)

and you can refresh results & add/remove stuff to the lists without needing to open a note 😍

it also does randomised images/cards which I use in my private vault for things like character portraits and maps

I've also been playing around with randomising the worldbuilding notes in my vault.

I included a dashboard template that shows you a list of notes tagged "draft" or "WIP" (you can customise this), and if you're as indecisive as me, there's an optional standalone refresh button 😂

The neat thing is, you can choose to turn the results into links so you can make new notes on the fly :D

AND, AND

if you already USED a result, the link already shows that a note exists!

I used to like using those fantasy name tools but they never gave the results I wanted (and nowadays, I don't trust the source material)....

So I made a template in Obsidian that lets you make your own 😆

I couldn't see it in use on any of the featured releases on the itch homepage (and the background seems to be a blurred version of the project's first screenshot).

The social media image says it gets shown on Twitter, Facebook, etc. when your project is linked. The favicon is shown as the browser icon (like in a tab). Knightwood fantasy pixel font, 250+ languages, bonus glyphs, 16px tall overall with 8px high uppercase Text in a dialogue box made using the font: "TJ Trewin: Did you know that if you add box drawing elements on different layers, you can add shading & make unique patterns!" The examples show vines and ropes with optional shading, chains, and decorative border patterns. A pixel aesthetic indie game mockup "KrakenQuest", made entirely using elements from the font. Rope adorns horizontal black cinematic bars, framing an ocean and sky. The sky has a gradient made using shade character blocks. Kraken tendrils rise from it, made with border elements. The extra challenge of it being 1-Bit and having the restriction on number of unique tiles was a nice puzzle to solve

Ochito Ochito is only 8 pixels tall (including accents) and its name is a combination of the Spanish word for eight, ocho, plus the diminutive suffix -ito! Ochito is quite literally "little eight" :D It's perfect for teeny tiny text! I made this font so I didn't have to keep drawing all my words manually lol An example showcasing some of the glyphs from the Ochito 8 pixel font, including basic and extended Latin characters, punctuation marks, numbers, currency symbols, and Roman numerals from 1-12. 1-bit style pixel art mockup (using only two colours) of a fictional Zelda game for Gameboy to showcase the Ochito 8 pixel font in the UI. 1-bit style pixel art mockup (using only two colours) of a fictional Zelda game for Gameboy to showcase the Ochito 8 pixel font in the UI.
