Growing up in rural Montana was really hard on me, but yesterday I interviewed someone who knew my late grandfather- and without that “small world” aspect I may have never gotten to hear about how my grandpa raised ~6 bobwhite quails in his office, and I think that makes the struggle worth it.

Sheer will is a hell of a drug because I wasn’t able to pace the 8 chapters I needed to read for tomorrow over thanksgiving break- so I read 5 chapters all in one day and despite taking about 4 hours+ it has been strangely rewarding
A picture of my original color code on a post-it note, only using red for “Main idea” and light green for “support.” To the right of my note is the book “Who Rules the Earth?” (Very good by the way, highly recommended) by Paul F. Steinberg, using far more colors than my original color code… because I ran out of red, light green, and subsequently almost every color after.
