Still beautiful. It flooded a few years back and the swimming hole had huge trees washed into it. Not as appealingly, but still beautiful. One of my favorite hikes. Do you remember going by this tree right off the Mountains to Sea trail on your way in or out?

Here are my signs from today’s No King’s March in Iowa City, Iowa. There was a big turn out and peace filled protests. Many of us oldsters did this in the early 70’s when protesting the War in Viet Nam and Nixon’s crimes. Deja Vu!

came home from one day and my Doodle ,Finn, had arranged his toys in a long, straight, perfect line across my great room floor. I then played a game with him where I said go get blue hippo, put it away. He did it. Pink duck, yellow duck, lamb chop…did it without missing a beat. He’s got skills!

Feeling sad about all of the predators in our government, especially the President. And then out of nowhere this incredible Praying Mantis popped up in the garden. I feel that this is a good omen!

Lots of rain in my area produced a huge flush of Parasola plicatillis, the Pleated Inkcap mushroom. They are everywhere until the sun comes out!

My sweet baby, Finn MacCool turned 14 today. He is very excited about this. All he wants for his birthday is no fireworks this year.

I will never forget them standing, clapping and cheering as they condemned their constituents to suffer and possibly even die. Joni Ernst seemed especially pleased.

My Senators are Ernst and Grassley. Do you seriously think that calling them again or emailing them again will make an iota of difference? Iowans have no real representation in Congress. All we get are lies, gas lighting, more lies and told that we all are going to die.
