I’m seeing it from people I didn’t expect it from. None of them know any poor people personally. None of them care if poor people actually starve. None of them know that a lot of poor people don’t have access to healthcare.

Not doing the deal is costless for *them*. None of them personally know anyone on SNAP, or anyone poor enough to get it. And a lot of people on SNAP don’t have access to healthcare.
