We can and should try and make it better. All the advocacy of the last 2-3 decades got us to this point.

Tech certainly didn't. (Hell, I formerly was an early Bitcoin/monero optimist because I thought things would NeverGetBetter and it seemed like the best way for financing queer and adult art).

I don't know exactly what happened since then. Itch.io taking off was one thing, but in general payments since seemed like they got more lenient (still not amazing, don't forget all those posts about "DONT MENTION NSFW IN YOUR PP MEMO!")

This isn't new. It hasn't gone away.

And still, the payment wouldn't go through. I think I called and talked to a support person about this and they said the site was notorious for "fraud" and they wouldn't allow the payment to go through.

And this is when I learned that "fraud" was often cover for "undesired content"

Side-note. I hate writing these from scratch and usually use EFF or some other advocacy group's site for a suggested starting point... and EFF has a whole news post and starter letter for KOSA...but nothing at all for SCREEN or IODA...

Similarly NPR is only covering KOSA...
