bought the logitech muse 6DoF pen for drawing on apple vision pro. have only been able to get it working 2D in sketch pro and 3D in doppl. takeaways: ok precision, but latency a real drag. don’t like how pen lacks digital representation / gets occluded by content. buttons nearly imperceptible. pass.

listening to this made me think that documentary films recording events in the physical world (true to form) will be the only style of cinema not disrupted by gen ai video. immersive content through VR will further differentiate/augment their experiential value.

enjoyed “pushing the limits of icms for tactile feedback talk” by prof charles greenspon last week. shared findings from a study using bci + bionic limbs to recreate tactile feedback for amputees & those w/ spinal cord injury. this slide shows hand touch centers corresponding to areas of brain.
