Yes. Here are the new figures from the CSO today on this, a few months ahead of schedule. Bigger deficit last year (for what the GDP data are worth).

This nice @jlpobrien.bsky.social chart from July 2023 shows Ireland's population in 2024 was c.1.7m (~45%) higher than experts projected after the 1991 Census.

It will be interesting to look back at the latest median projection for 2053 (6.39m) - my guess is another double-digit +ve % difference.

This IT piece is confused on which nationalities are driving Ireland’s net migration. Ukraine arrivals mainly were in the year to April 2023 when population growth was 1.9%. Inflows have since slowed as PPSN data show. This year was 1.9% again mainly due to Asia ⬇️

Sásta bheith ar ais ar #bluesky arís.

Mar atá thar lear sa Bhreatain agus sna Stát Aontaithe Mheirceá, is léir go bhfuil eolas faoin margadh saothair in Éireann deacair a léirmhíniú de bharr athbhreithnithe.

Ach i R1 '24, d'fhás fostaithe 2.6% de réir na sonraí #CSO seo: www.cso.ie/en/statistic...

Hi Stephen, happy to answer Qs. The report's data pack (www.fiscalcouncil.ie/wp-content/u...) includes the Eurostat country names. Ireland's data is the same as Eurostat's but comes from the CSO, who already have 2022 available.
Net capital stock is defined in the CSO background notes as follows:
