Use Proton Experimental and lock to 45FPS.

Do not sleep on @arcraiders.bsky.social. I repeat: don’t sleep on it. In 25+ years of gaming, I’ve genuinely never had such a wild time in any online game. See you topside. Enlist. Resist. #ARCRaiders

This is the AMPOWN Magicx Mini Zero 28. Looks like my new small-form-factor king arrived. Incredible build quality, even paired with Hall effect sticks.

I really doubt that anyone would want to experience #DOOMTheDarkAges this way. Don’t fall for any Steam Deck "optimization guides” (which will inevitably start popping up after launch) — save yourself some headaches and play it on a PC, console, or through GeForce Now.

JFY: DOOM The Dark Ages doesn’t launch on the Steam Deck and crashes during the intro. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any workaround so far. Unless @plagman.bsky.social and team are working on a fix, TDA won’t be playable on the Deck for now.

The AYANEO Pocket Micro (Classic), I've been talking about. Arrived this week, and I gotta admit... this is top-tier product design and build quality. Review on @overkill.wtf soon!

By the way, I’ve fallen headfirst into the retro gaming rabbit hole thanks to the AYANEO Pocket Micro. Bought an Anbernic RG35XX H a day later and spent yesterday's whole evening with @retrogamecorps.com shader guide. What have I done?

Okay, seriously, HORI, calm the frick down—I can’t handle such peak design this early in your Switch 2 accessory game. #NintendoSwitch2 #HORI

Seriously, Nintendo - if that's real, no thank you.

Never seen numbers like this on any of my mods before. Talk about the early bird catching the worm. 👀 #KCD2 @warhorsestudios.bsky.social

By the way: If you want to know how to get the most out of your Steam Deck adventure in 15th-century Bohemia, keep a close eye on @overkill.wtf for my in-depth review, including settings and more! Available on Feb 3rd at 5pm CET! #KCD2 #KingdomComeDeliverance2

I’ve been constantly in touch with Warhorse, sharing any bugs I’ve noticed, as well as findings regarding possible improvements and performance on the Deck. They seem to really want to deliver with #KCD2 on that front, and I can’t wait for the release. Audentes Fortuna Iuvat! 🧵4/4
January 30, 2025 at 11:46 AM
Truth be told: I prefer improved visuals over higher frame rates. #KCD2 is one of those games that’s perfectly playable at 30FPS, especially on a 90Hz refresh rate. Thankfully, the improved combat offers much more leeway for parries and master strikes, so you'll be fine. 🧵3/4

If you’re wondering why I opted not to use FSR in the pre-release version of the game: without, the image was considerably cleaner. That said, enabling the upscaler already led to a great performance boost—making a 45FPS target easily possible using the same settings. JCBP! 🧵2/x
January 30, 2025 at 11:46 AM
I now have permission to tell you this: Throughout my entire playtime of #KCD2 on an OLED Steam Deck, without FSR, the game ran at a solid 30FPS for at least 90% of the time—excluding transitions between cutscenes and gameplay. At mixed medium settings—even in busy moments. 🧵1/x

Our firstborn daughter is turning 4, and I can’t believe how fast time has flown. I feel incredibly humbled and thankful to be entrusted by the Lord with this precious little soul.

The Apple Mac Mini M4 Pro is WILD. It fits so nicely into my current setup. Loving the form factor, performance, IO... well, everything so far. 🔥 *surprised_pikachuface_meme*

I am genuinely speechless. How does Warframe have one of the best sci-fi arcs and single-player story twists I’ve ever experienced in any video game, yet it’s flying under the radar for most of you? The last time I got goosebumps like this was during Avengers Endgame. Wild..

Hear me out: Don’t sleep on No Rest for the Wicked. Even though it’s in Early Access, this gem is shaping up to be the perfect ARPG I’ve dreamed of my whole frickin’ life. The atmosphere, the way it rewards exploration, and the combat and Arcane-level cutscenes alone… Wow.

In the context of Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree release: Don't sleep on Boosteroid! Seriously. Especially on handhelds, it's the way to play. They even introduced 4k 120FPS lately. One of their USPs is the availability of all these titles, which you're missing out on with GFN.

I've been offline for merely six days. Days in which I rebuilt my relationship with Jesus, discovered new things about myself, and refocused on life. Meanwhile, nearly a hundred emails filled my inbox (none of them spam, btw). Yeah, it's time for me to draw a line.

I suspect a mid-gen refresh in black with an OLED screen, to close the gap. Possibly with an upgrade pricing comparable to what we've seen with Valve's Steam Deck OLED. Consider me interested...
