FWIW I think voter ID is a great thing, but I don’t think the GOP and me agree what that means. I think all citizens should get an official ID when they are 18 and this defines their right to vote. This solves many problems, including how to prove who you are, but that is not the GOP’s goal

Anecdotally EV/Hybrid trucks are becoming common in China, and Ford (as well as most US Automakers) pissed away the last 5 years with half-hearted efforts like the Lightning. BYD has a hybrid in production that’ll get 45mpg (real world) and that doubles the MPG an F 150 ICE has

O&G upstream always does better under Democratic presidents, but it is something Hamm and his ilk are unable to objectively see and instead wave away. WTI has lost 18% in the last year and, as you note, Hamm inadvertently helped cause this.

This military effort does not seem well thought through, frankly. Reading this piece, it is obvious it is only a matter of time before something tragic at scale will occur. The official rationale is laughable, and the most likely reason (regime change) also not smart
