Congratulations to Harvey Epstein, saddled with the worst possible name for this election cycle. SNL had a sketch about him a year or so ago. www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6QF...

My wife and I have been fans of Amy Poehler since she showed up as Andy's little sister on Conan O'Brien's late night show in the 1990s. We've been enjoying her new podcast Good Hang and decided to build a MOC of her studio.

Dare To Be Stupid was the first ever Weird @alyankovic.bsky.social album I bought on cassette at Kmart in the mid 1980s.
Last night my wife and I took our 13-year old daughter to see him and his incredible band live. Sang along to songs, everyone had a blast, a bucket list item checked off.

Labor Day weekend quick LEGO build. Every band needs a place to practice! This punk band is in a cramped cinder block basement with pipes close overhead.

We are picking about 2 cups of cherry tomatoes a day from our garden, and the Roma are coming in nicely as well.

3/3 Pretty basic stuff, but I'm just starting to figure out using technic for movement. Built this in about 5-6 hours over two days, happy with how it turned out.

2/3 In thinking about the map room, a hidden map seemed like a logical choice. I tried a number of different ways to activate the hidden doors - string, gears, wheels, etc. I landed on linking several 1x5 rounded-end technic plates and made it a simple pull to open/push to close.

1/3 Most of my MOCs don't involve movement. I wanted to try adding movement, and happened across some pictures of the The Map Room of Palazzo Vecchio in Tuscany, Italy. This build looks nothing like that, maybe someday I'll try to build a replica, but I used it as inspiration.

That red convertible is a 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.
When I was 15, I used all the money I had saved from lawning moving, paper routes, chores to drop $1500 on a non-running Cutlass. I spent years getting it running and finally drove it to school on the last day of senior year.

Our foster dog got adopted! We're sad to see him go because he was such a good boy, but happy he's found a great new home.

2/So I could build multiple city blocks on this rectangular plates, and then use the holes on the side to link them together and create a larger city.

1/I am in the final stages of a very big Lego build that I will (hopefully) wrap up in the next month or so, but in the meantime while I wait for parts to arrive, I built this modular micro city. In Lego speak, modular means it can connect to other builds.
