There’s a train from Penn Station that goes straight to the stadium. It’s way more convenient than driving there.

Just got back from a long walk in Brookyn while listening to this one:

Will there be an obituary deparment anywhere to write it?

I’m not sure if you live in NYC but hating the mayor is a sign life is back to normal lol.

Clearly. Thank you!

People ALWAYS react with confusion when i tell them i was a math major/philosophy minor!

But they so obviously fit together to me no doubt. Both come in handy literally every day.

I can’t explain it. I don’t dislike him per se, but for some reason Russell just never grabs me like he seems to grab essentially everyone whose musical opinions I respect! It bugs me! Tried many times. i need to figure out how to fix my brain lol.

But thanks for the tip i will check it!

Favorite i’m not going to commit to but two for consideration:
Dylan - It Takes a Lot To Laugh, It Takes a Train To Cry

Sufjan Stevens - Concerning the UFO Sighting Near Highland, Illinois (hell of an album opener!)

Every time there is no choice but to declare something terrible they are in a constant state of imbalance and just begging to find something to restore the centrist order.
January 28, 2026 at 6:55 AM
Ah that makes sense then. Yes Americans have had the privilege of being blissfully unaware for 80 years unfortunately.

Hence [gestures literally everywhere]. Gotta keep a sliver of hope more and more eyes are opened.

But from your perspective, totally understable to be furious.
January 27, 2026 at 9:02 AM
It’s not always a choice. If you’re never online and focus on surviving, even if you read paper every day, you got no clue.

Some event wakes each of us up. For me it was iraq war and torture. I imagine you have one too?

Full MAGA real tough to forgive but newly opened eyes i’m here to welcome.

Lots of assumptions here.

Engaged person loving it for 9 years? I’m gonna need more mea culpa than Kanye gave.

But pay zero attention and vote every 4 years used to work! Physical work, no Internet. Home, don’t watch news channels. Bed. Repeat. This is a huge cohort. And grace warranted IMO.

They did make it. They ruined it!

Ranked choice voting has some built in idiot proofing. Mamdani. Guy had no chance. He & Lander endorsed each other as 2nd choice. Cuomo & Adams refused to help each other.

Optics looked like they were teammates & made Adams/Cuomo look petty.

Visual contrast was striking didn’t need much more.
January 24, 2026 at 5:58 AM
We did. You should too.
January 21, 2026 at 5:19 AM
Lol wut?
January 17, 2026 at 1:34 PM
My eyes opened when after years of nyt calling torture “torture” when foreign govts did it, the second Bush admin came up w “enhanced interrogation,” NYT grabbed on. Same abuse from any other country labelled torture. W/USA “who can judge?”

Pathetic but not new.

“Reagan enacted terrible policies,” ok fine. And that’s why dems are nonexistent in many states? Wut?

Nixon resigned & world went “cool Ford is pres now all is fine,” press went back to both sidesing. GOP learned lesson: there is no such thing as long term consequences.” Dems still don’t get this.

100% rule of law a must!

But as evidence grows SCOTUS is corrupt/issuing corrupt decisions w no basis in law & enriching themselves in process, isn’t it imperative to make those critical inputs to any fair analysis?

Does “this particular decision doesn’t seem corrupt” make any sense at this point?

@volts.wtf Volts rules. Always makes me excited and hopeful for at least a few minutes!
