Key R 👇👇👇 Cassidy who was on the fence but ultimately backed RFK Jr. during confirmation fight in February.

Now has questions about today's CDC firing.

(Note: McConnell was only Republican to vote against RFK Jr.)

One downer note: The scene where Coop and Murph reunite seemed off 10 years ago, still seems off. So much of the movie is so well executed, and while the weirdness of the scene can be explained to some degree, it just doesn't work.

Overall rating: 9/10. Parts are breathtaking.

It is still so painful to contemplate what Romilly went thru, decades alone on that ship. And then ka-boom. Still deeply unfair.

The family dynamic around Coop's son is really well done. Coop cares about both kids but is much more interested about Murph. And on a rewatch that comes through in the early scenes. It's also brutal that when Coop turns up at the end, he doesn't bother to ask about his son's fate.

The actor who plays young Murph is really good.

I should note that, given the fact that he could be gone for decades, Coop really should have stuck around for an hour or two and leave on a better note. Sorry, kid.

Matt Damon is amazing. And the scene where the airlock fails -- after the speechifying leading up to it -- is comedy gold. Our audience laughed.

Matthew Mcconaughey is great. Even the clunkier stuff toward the end he pulls off.

🧵 A couple notes on Interstellar's rerelease in Imax theaters.

1. The visuals are truly stunning. It's like 2001 but with a better story and 40 years of SFX improvements. And the visuals and sound will feel very familiar to people who saw Oppenheimer.

This is a great thread in which the OP explains very clearly why the time-bending plotline of Interstellar is really frustrating (see excerpt below), and the responder repeatedly saying "you're just confused, time is a loop"
