I recognise the location for the sequence with the pretty girl: it's the 19th century village pump at Ickenham (near Ruislip). The garage might be the one that's nearby.

I wonder if Cleese ever appeared as Basil in the Video Arts training films.
Has anyone catalogued those films? I've only seen a couple, but they seem to have featured some notable performers. If nothing else it's probably professional work that doesn't seem to have been documented adequately.
