In that case, Suizenji park is very pretty, plus there's a little antique store right outside the western gate with some pretty cool stuff, like this kusarigama. Not sure what the season is like in December but if it's open it's pretty rad.

You should check out the castle! It's a pretty normal museum inside but the outside is fantastic.
