i think they're not generally funding pots just for those constituencies, it's more that the govt will do something that applies across the country because of the arguments put forward by those MPs

but yes, agree, a lot of our system is quite pork-barrelly!

pretty common, i think - eg see philip hammond's financial statement in 2018, lots of references to his hon friends

gives the MPs in question something for their social media and newsletters
