I'd heard about that for The Finals, but I wouldn't make the assumption about Arc Raiders without some kind of confirmation. The only thing I'm seeing for Arc Raiders is the use of text to speech, which seems fine to me, ala Alexa or Microsoft Sam

All I'm seeing here is using text to speech to allow contextual responses. That being said, they don't mention how they do the player voice manipulation, which could be AI but is unclear.

For the record, I'm not defending generative AI in any capacity, as it is 100% a plague. I just haven't seen any sources that back up the claim they used generative AI for the voices.

My understanding of the voice lines was that they hired VA's to create a sound bank of various lines, which are then used in the game at various times. That is not generative AI, and neither is using machine learning
