I'm starting to think that every mega corp saw how successful Netflix was and now wants to move everyone to a subscription model. They will push for a future where people are priced out of owning new hardware, and they'll step in to offer high spec cloud based rental PCs. 😑

It's insane how mega corps like meta throw away genuine talent.... Logically mega corps could easily take a hit regarding profits, regroup and work on a new project, keeping that same talent... But no, they opt to destroy lives and kill innovation because the line didn't go up this time 😑

Absolutely, I think this is often the case. Intelligence comes in different forms so I think manipulation tactics to get rich does involve skills in being able to read people... But I agree, that's more street smarts than real intelligence.

I'd argue that they can be incredibly smart, but in all the wrong ways, as their motivation becomes greed and narcissism becomes all they know as they manipulate others to complete their goals. Their ethics and morals die in the process.

I used to love old twitter. Conversation felt genuine and fun. Now I'm opting to close my account completely. It's been a hellscape for a while, but with the terrible terms of service being implemented, and the disgusting Gen AI slop, I'm done.

It's crazy that skin colour should be part of the equation, but Twitter especially seems to feed off division and rage bait 😞
