I think he could win but he's going to be dogged by too many issues. His champions are centrist media types who aren't even Democrats. He's not as good on some of the issues that are going to matter to people. He's on the wrong side of data centers, takes free stuff from donors, sold out SEPTA etc.

Being against it will lose you Democratic primary votes though. He can be "moderate" but he has to show or signal to Democratic primary voters that he is on their side. I don't see how he's going to do that. He might get a trifecta next year which could unlock some things for him in that direction.

Happened last time too and then our buddy Merrick did squat. I don’t know how the 2028 candidates will signal they will give us an attack dog at AG but whoever does that has my vote.

Doubtful Doug Jones would’ve completely solved SCOTUS but I do think US v Trump was so bad in part because it took so long to get going. SCOTUS didn’t have to worry about immediate backlash from Congress by that point.
