This conversation had me mentally saying "okay boomer", realising that term is better served for people of any age who are willfully bigoted. Because I have met many boomers who are more "woke" than this. I changed the conversation to the societal rise in anti-intelectualism and critical thinking 🥲

I decided not to refute with my own personal experience and instead turned it to biases. He said its ok to be biased as long as you know you are.

He was two-sidesing the issue and I was like, well it's like when I found out my friend Charlie (female) was actually called Laura but hated the name so had changed it years before we met and everyone called her Charlie. "That's a false equivalence," he tells me.

Spent today sat next to a 20 something year old on secondment to my dept and got into conversation about AI which rolled into capitalism and wokeness. He was telling me how someone in his friendship group has come out as non binary and another friend doesn't want to use their preferred pronouns...

What a great show.... now time for bed lol
