The first batch is out of the oven! If you make them, be aware that they do spread a little as they bake. The tighter you roll the dough before chilling, the neater the cookies are.

My great-grandmother's recipe!
Recipe for date cookies part 1: 1 c butter, 1 c brown sugar, 1 c white sugar, 3 eggs beaten. Cream butter and sugar and add beaten eggs. 4 c flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp soda continued part 2 Date cookies recipe part 2: sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Filling: 1 lb dates, cut, 1/2 c sugar, 1/2 c nut meats, chopped, 1/2 c water, I add a little lemon juice and a little butter. Cook til thick (about 5 minutes). Let filling cool and spread on dough rolled as for jelly roll. Cut and bake at 375 degrees for 10 or 12 minutes. It is best to shape in rolls and wrap in wax paper and let chill for an hour or so. They cut better.

I'm trying to put fresh sheets on the bed and inadvertently made a cat fort.

I don't know what was wrong with my phone earlier, but it seems fine now. I kept it off almost all day because it kept overheating, and literally the only photo I got was this guy.

I'm still making little drawings on these tiny wooden blocks. It's fun and it turns out the acrylic markers are fully waterproof!

I found a package of little wooden blocks at the dollar tree and bought them on impulse. I'm drawing little scenes and designs on them and having a lot of fun.

I had Sticker Ninja print up sticker sheets of some of my pin designs (and some new designs or ones that never got made into pins). They turned out really nice! I plan to sell them at conventions but I might put some up on my ko-fi if there's interest.

One of the Mongolian language apps I use has pictures with some of the words, and every time this one comes up I want those socks with every fiber of my being.
