weaving is truly one of the best stims around. you get rhythmic foot pedal motion and click clack sound and a developing pattern visual that you can plan and calculate ahead or freestyle as you go, it's so damn satisfying

an instagram post from Squamish SAR with a photo of them rescuing an injured person from a rocky forest area adjacent to water. they are warning us to wear proper footwear and stay well back from the water falls, as they saw about 40 people - many wearing flip flops or carting coolers with them - while up there performing the rescue.

decided I needed my apartment to get weirder and funnier and more colorful so, among other things, I painted what I'm calling an amoeba portal on the wall of my living room.
a pink room with an arch shape painted from floor to ceiling on one wall - it's mostly bright red, with a deep purple border, and I used painters tape to mask circle shapes so it has a kind of polka dot effect all around the edge as well.

some days I go out and it's just like this? out there on my roof deck? today there were *at least* thirty of them. I don't know what we're doing honestly I'm just happy to be included

i had to come back to this thread because (while looking for murphy bed diy ideas today) i just found this custom cabinet makeover deal where the paint situation kept being referred to as "color drenching" and i just... ?!?

for anyone unfamiliar with palissy majolica plates and platters I really would like to inject them somewhere in this many-threaded journey you've got going here. they are pottery and not food and yet something about creatures in a translucent matrix really just [swirls hands around]
a garishly colorful glazed antique majolica plate with a three dimensional tromple-l'oeuil big leggy crap and some swirling decorative elements that look kind of sea swampish. someone on the gaudy creepy beautiful spectrum. a similar pottery plate but with a sculpted pile of fish in the middle surrounded by insects and snails and lizards.
