Double sided bookmark design which was part of the prize pack in the MCM October Medieval Stamp Rally

🎉Today is my birthday! Here are my fave pieces I've drawn over this past year (that I can show lol), i'd love a share if you fancy it :^)
A drawing of Moiraine & Siuan from The Wheel of Time, peacefully sat holding each other. They are within a round bamboo frame which shows Siuan’s home of Tear above & Tar Valon below. The background is river plants with fish hiding. within. There is a border of black triangles. They are both wearing blue patterned draping clothes & Moiraine has adopted Siuan's cultural tattoos. An illustration within a pointed frame surrounded by a decorative border. In it an eldritch looking fairy, the Briar Queen sits on a thorny throne. She has gnarled white skin which seems to merge with her bodice and spiked pauldrons. Her skirts are white beneath a leafy overskirt. Her tall hennin with diaphanous veil which falls behind is partly made of blackberry nodules. She has horns and pointed ears, black sclera and red pupils. She menacingly is holding a thorny rope/whip which is tying up a blonde fairy in a shibari-esque fashion. The prisoner has been caught eating the blackberry fruit, left half-eaten on the floor- it's red juice covering her mouth and hands. She wears a white dress and has dragonfly wings. Behind a motley crew of fairy courtiers looks on. The throne is on a raised dais with a ragged red curtain above. The decorative border consists of a black background with twisting brambles, with blackberry flowers and fruits. A digital sketch of two Black lesbians in 1830s dress. The figure in a pale gold-ish gown with voluminous off-shoulder elbow length sleeves & a low neckline stands behind her lover, arms wrapped around her with eyes downcast & a soft smile. I fully illustrated the background separate from the ghosts, so I could get the transclucent effect I wanted. Since I went to the effort I figured it was worth showing off on its own, a long with a couple of closeups.

Prints will be available later this month :)
The previously described illustration but with the ghosts removed to fully show the background. A path winds off into a dark tunnel of trees. Among the tomb stones we see a Celtic cross, and one with a cherub carving. Far back is a statue of an angel with its arm raised. The colour palette is muted creams with dusky purples, blues and greys. A zoomed in detail view of the background. A zoomed in detail view of the ghosts.
