Well said, but anti-DEI gained a foothold from the vast majority of people ignoring the ongoing pandemic (yes, we're still in one as per the WHO) and accepting normalization of eugenics as a tradeoff for "normalcy" (ie individual comfort).

Their beliefs and their goals were right out in the open. We should have known that they would attack all aspects of public health.
