I once had a girlfriend who worked for the BBC. One day I watched a guy come in to read the radio news. He was a wreck from partying the night before; obviously hung over and a mess. Yet his voice sounded very professional and classic BBC. Now if i hear the news I wonder if the guy is the same.

Thanks for this. Used to see her at Southampton from time to time when out on small boat with family. Recall us saying what a great name for a container ship. A sad loss.

Did my Gold expedition in the heat. We ran short of water and it tested us. Later I had a bad car crash in Africa miles from anywhere and was short of water but coped due DofE experience.

Good advice. I had a crash and air bag deployed. A few small marks on my face which soon went - much better than headbutting the steering wheel! I certainly wouldnt want any "steering wheel ornaments" flying into my face.
