Used to be a faceless bureaucrat. Still faceless, but no longer a bureaucrat.
I have found that Ebay is really good with problems like this.

At least that one has a certain logic to it, the words do not negate the meaning.

It's the way the English language strings words together. As in "English teacher", "homeless charities", "corruption tsar" etc.

AKA subsidiarity?
December 18, 2025 at 6:46 PM
Exactly so. It was one of the main arguments, which was subsequently overlooked for lesser ones.

Of course they do but what I'm saying is that it's not the major factor in clinching the Erasmus deal.
December 17, 2025 at 3:19 PM
Honestly the more affluent families don't need Erasmus for that.
December 17, 2025 at 3:11 PM
180k € is plenty enough to send their kids wherever for 6 months to a year. Erasmus benefits the less affluent in society.
December 17, 2025 at 3:09 PM
I don't get this argument that EU responsibles want Erasmus for their children. They are high earners and can easily afford the cost of sending their children to study abroad. Moreover Erasmus is only one year so not enough for a degree.

But catty is not the right behaviour for a cat.

Chatty is the right behaviour for a chat.

All of them!
December 11, 2025 at 5:04 PM
I hope not! Another troubled country with a veto!
December 11, 2025 at 8:52 AM
What made the UK a nuisance was the constant threat of a veto not the opt-outs.
December 10, 2025 at 10:36 AM
Lessons are never learnt. A stronger deterrent is required. Like no veto.

You can choose mangoes, avocados, oranges and a few other fruit grown in Spain or Italy, delivered to your home when the fruit is ready. I have been buying from them and the fruit is way better than what you can get in supermarkets.

House of Lords report on Youth mobility schemes, January 2025.
December 8, 2025 at 5:29 PM
What would prevent the UK from behaving as it did before is majority voting but it's not happening anytime soon.
December 8, 2025 at 2:28 PM
When these discussions ran into the sand, UK approached individual MS but MS deferred to the Commission. I suspect the reluctance of the UK is that it only selectively wants mobility from the richer countries.
December 8, 2025 at 1:59 PM
The fact that youth mobility was initially a UK ask seems to have escaped common awareness, making it a EU ask that UK is reluctantly discussing. According to UK in a Changing Europe, discussions with the Commission started in 2022 under the Tories. 1/

Disastrous handling by the Commission. Not a word about how the UK handled its own bid?

Moldova have a long and winding road to accession.

Exactly the same terms?

You're deluded.
