The core team size of Team Cherry is small, but for Silksong I believe they worked with quite a few contractors to help with programming, testing, etc. So, the size of the development team that made the game is more like a few dozen (just using the in-game credits for reference)

This I agree with - having to return to a bench to switch crests and charms might not be a necessary restriction. Some enemies feel best countered by specific crests, and you can't just run back to a bench every time you encounter them. Would honestly love to be able to hotswap crests via the D-pad!

(2/2) I actually found myself going back to the diagonal pogo as my preferred option, because I had learned to leverage it more effectively. I have a feeling this was Team Cherry's intent: start you off with a fresh new option with a stronger skill ceiling, then later let you revert if you want to

(1/2) Funny thing is, I don't think that was the design philosophy at all - the straight-down pogo isn't necessarily an upgrade over the diagonal pogo. It's more accessible and straightforward to use, but it lacks the starting pogo's lateral reach. By the time I unlocked the downward pogo,
