In 2025 the Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division updated more than 24,000 voter registration records for the county’s over 200,000 registered voters.

The Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division mailed more than 92,000 ballots to voters in the county for the February 10 Special Election. Voters in the Centralia, Olympia, Tenino and Tumwater school districts will receive ballots.

The Auditor's Office seeks volunteers for committees for the February 10 Special Election. Volunteers must live in the Tenino or Olympia School Districts to qualify and be able to communicate reliably by email.

Candidate filing will open on December 15 for residents of three Thurston County Drainage Districts and the Black Lake Special District. Candidates must own property in the district and be a registered voter in Washington State.
