It's honestly so good. And what's wild is that this is the author's only fiction book. He otherwise has written Linux and Apache reference books.

My recent favorites: Recursion by Blake Crouch (very cool sci-fi concept), A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik (deadly magic school), Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman (surprisingly gripping LitRPG), The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins (very weird book unlike anything you've read before).
