They call me the greatest. 'Cause I'm not very good, and they're being sarcastic.

Upside to nitro, it should age *beautifully*

Update: the GG1 episode was everything I'd hoped it would be. 10/10 will sub again!

Okay, fine! I'll sign up for the Patreon! You drive a hard bargain. 😄

All I know is, they're not getting any ID from me. They've already proven they can't be trusted with people's data (after the 3rd party they picked to do age verification for the UK got hacked). As soon as they age-gate me, I'm done with them.

My biggest reason to hate them is that they bought Right Stuf and now all those blu-rays are *obscenely* expensive because they've let them go out of print.

IIRC, isn't Pinta supposed to be the Paint.NET equivalent on Linux? I don't daily Linux so I've only played around with Pinta.

Right. Quite a few of the things *in* her books are red flags, but writing children's books in and of itself is not an issue.

I think it partly depends on the time between when it happens and when people say those things, because the knee-jerk reaction is to be defensive. Over time, that reaction is dulled, and it's easier to reflect.

When a certain D&D streamer nuked his career a few years ago there were a lot of folks going, "I always got bad vibes from him". And I'll be honest, my initial (unspoken!) reaction to those people was always "well *good for you*! Aren't *you* so perceptive". But you do bring up a good point.

Yeah, I'm sticking with 2.6.x for now. Until we see what Canva's plan for Affinity 3.x is in the future. Enshittification is a huge concern.

Oh, sick! Didn't know you were playing this. Now I have to go back and catch up with the VODs.

I still need to give TJPW a shot. I tried watching Stardom a few years ago, but could never really get into it. Super amazing athletes though, whatever else you can say about it. But yeah, there's tons of wrestling out there. No need to give WWE any of your time or headspace.

Isn't Jeremy talking about the remake? Ron Moore isn't Mormon

Particularly when their editor-in-chief has complained about Google's AI scraping their articles. Seems a bit weird to me, I guess...

For what its worth, I think your comics are great! I'm loving Nix of Nothing and Speak of the Devil was amazing.

That said, if you're feeling you need a break, there's nothing wrong with that either.

Your "Don't Anthropomorphize Larry Ellison" speech is still reposted regularly. I'd say you're the preeminent Oracle hater.

My dad had a Vanagon Westfalia for a while when I was growing up. We spent a whole summer wiring in an awesome sound system. Miss that dang car.

I've always liked Dell's UltraSharp line (the ones I've got are 13 years old and still holding on). Haven't done any recent looking though, so I don't have any better rec's. I'll be watching to see what others suggest though for my own edification.

Yup, Woodridge is the last 50x70 IMAX in Illinois, and there *no* IMAX theaters in IL with 70mm film projectors anymore. Allegedly Woodridge is going to get 70mm projectors re-installed some time in the future, but we'll see.

I've driven to Naperville to see films that aren't showing here, or to Woodridge to see IMAX films on a real IMAX screen.

Colman's Mustard is all I use. I want my mustard to burn my sinuses! None of this weak stuff, lol

Another excuse to talk about the refrigeration cycle

AK, I assume? Yeah, same. I wasn't a big TTRPG stream watcher, but his let's plays were really good. I loved how in-the-weeds he got with dissecting narrative in games.
