It may be that many people got scammed. It's also possible that some people knew they wouldn't break even but decided that it was worthwhile anyway, because money isn't the only reason people would switch to solar.

The beef & chicken industries are in deep shit if people actually switch (assuming it's the same grade of soybeans). At my usual store, organic tofu is about 25% cheaper than "conventional" chicken, which is less than half the price of ground beef.
I doubt most ppl understand about health to do it.
