Golf, Eagles, Phillies, JMU, Union… oh, yeah, and democracy.
Fine. How’d you play?

It’s a little reminiscent of the Chip Era when he insisted the players needed to execute better and they kept running the same stuff over and over.

Agreed. But I don’t think he wants the national attention from headlines such as “Eagles Fire Sirianni Despite Top 5 Winning Percentage in NFL History”. I want to be wrong though!

And by the way, I don’t believe expressing willingness = the desire or ability to actually make changes. I think he’ll say what he needs to to make his bosses happy.

I think Lurie’s decision depends upon a number of things. What is their final record? How’d they do in the postseason? What is Nick’s willingness to make actual changes? Does Jeff/Howie actually think he will do it? In the end, I think their record and Nick’s willingness mean he’s back.

I’m willing to bet we are still complaining about him next season too. (Unfortunately)

Some of it might be slight declines and OL injury, but I don’t think that explains why the offense can look good for a stretch every game and then completely anemic for other extended stretches.

Same

The playbook and play calling are certainly worse this year… and it wasn’t exactly reminiscent of Bill Walsh or Hal Mumme last year either.

That said, they should be scoring more points.

Whether it’s effort or decline, AJ is definitely not the player he was. On top of that, through age and injury, the OL isn’t as good as it has been in past years either.
