PURE HELL was the first Black punk band. They lasted from 1974-1979, but a falling out with their manager meant their record didn’t come out until 2010. I gave it a listen:

I cant stop thinking about If I Had Legs Id Kick You. I watched it two nights ago, and man it was… A LOT 🤣 But it felt purposeful and punctuated the chaos and anxiety that comes with motherhood. Its a movie that I have a hard time saying I enjoyed as the experience left me feeing icky.

The Front Room is a shitty (pun intended) film with interesting aspects that come together as a half baked campy horror. The themes of parenthood, post-partum, interracial relationships, racism, religion are all there, but they are not cohesive #thefrontroom #horrormovie #movies
