Right, that’s the thing that got me: the contrast between how beloved he was publicly and what a cad he was to his family and to women in private (especially vulnerable underage women). When he ditched picking up his kid from school to buy George some guitar strings instead I almost threw the book.

Fair enough. I’ll grant you the Spain trip was new info, but I think the rest as it pertains to the band was mostly negligible. I knew they weren’t saints already, from all the other books. It was just such a depressing read, and his behavior was so gross and baffling to me.

Oh, I thought the last one was a little too quiet, personally. Still good, but I like when they get grand like this.
