I like videogames more than I like most people
93- Whisker Squadron: Survivor

I was pleasantly surprised to see how fun Star Fox gameplay can be with roguelike mechanics. I ended up getting quite hooked into the gameplay loop!

It ends a bit abruptly for my tastes, but I had a blast clearing the three acts. Hope they can make more!!

92- Mega Man 6

I really love how the jetpack and power suit work in this game-- especially how they don't lose their energy.

Otherwise, it's just a really solid iteration of the early classic format.

I think it's a bit weird to do the same plot twist three games in a row tho 😂

91- Bits & Bops

This is a great little slice of Rhythm Heaven style gameplay... One of the better games that aims to replicate this style!

Really love a lot of the music and how stinkin' cute it is. This month has been great for quality rhythm games!!

90- Star Fox

I thought I had finished this before, but now I've cleared routes 2 and 3 and I sorta feel like I've truly played it for the first time.

I think it's truly impressive how fun and challenging (yet fair) this game is for being so experimental and ambitious.

I miss this series 😭

I'm doing my best to not normalize it. Whenever a friend or family member shares a shitty AI generated meme or whatever I turn into That Guy lol.

Unfortunately I am still unconvinced this is a bubble or a trend. I hope to God it actually does go the way of NFTs

89- Banjo Kazooie: Mumbomania

First Banjo game I've finished! Eupholace does amazing work, so I had to check this out.

It's fascinating to play a game that's a Microsoft IP, on PlayStation hardware, with Nintendo-influenced design. The resulting blend is super fun, and I loved 100% clearing this!!

88- Star X

A super impressive 3D Star Fox-like for GBA... I think it's dope what they pulled off with the engine on this hardware. Game is a bit too rough for my tastes, but a really neat piece of software for its time.

87- Rhythm Doctor

I played this in EA years ago and immediately fell in love with its unique style of rhythm gameplay. Managing multiple crazy, distinct mechanics at once while navigating the inner pains and joys of the patients was amazing. The gameplay/story blend is perfect.

IT'S SO HARD THO!!!

86- Sakura Wars 2

I eagerly awaited this English translation for years, and it was well worth the wait!! HUGE thanks to the translation team!!

I love the little changes to the first, the new characters and sprites, and the amazing new music.

A perfect sequel, and one of the best games on Saturn!

85- Liquid Space Dimension

A fairly competent SF-like with some pretty unique twists on the rail shooter gameplay. Having to take a bit of mental effort to shift between a charge shot and a spread attack made for fun gameplay! And the movement is super solid too. Definitely worth the $1 I paid!!

I loved Sephonie and enjoyed Ys I and II so I think this is probably for me! I will be there!

84- FUR Squadron (Replay)

I was feeling a bit of a Star Fox itch, so I went back to this neat little game from a few years back. It's great! Much better than I remember, honestly. Really like the game's intro to its cast, the vibe of the world and the music.

Gotta check out the Phoenix demo now!

It's soooo stinking good. I've watched it a few times now... Gets better the older I get!

83- Z.A.T.O. // I Love the World and Everything In It

A truly fascinating work of art. It's one of those games that can be so mind bendy, yet so human and relatable. It's definitely causing me to reflect on my own place in the world. I'll be chewing on this one for a bit.

Can't believe it's free!!

82- Lego Voyagers

Adorable game with great vibes. Fun to mess around in co-op, though sometimes the puzzles could be a bit annoying when contending with the slightly finicky gameplay.

Overall a really sweet, charming co-op game. Vibes kinda remind me of Boxboy.

I like how they go doot doot beep

81- Mega Man 8

The highs are great and the lows are pretty rough. I don't like gimmicks/puzzles in MM-style games! Fortunately, there's also some great levels/bosses, and it looks great!

The bad voice acting is perfect. It's also the first MM game I ever played-- 23 years later, I finally beat it!

80- Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved

A solid entry in one of my favorite genres. It takes cues from Famicom Detective Club while drawing inspiration other ADV greats like Ace Attorney. The resulting work is full of gripping twists, great world building and memorable characters. I loved it!

79- Mega Man 5

Probably the least interesting to me of the classic MM games so far. A lot of the bosses felt awkward for me. Beat is a great addition to the series.

It feels very similar to what came directly before-- makes sense given how fast these came out back then!

78- Mega Man 4

Truly wild it took them 4 games to introduce the iconic charge shot on the mega buster. Overall a solid game! I really love the opening cinematic and how they went for a bit of a twisty story in this one. Not my favorite classic MM, but I enjoyed it!

77- Mega Man: The Wily Wars

A really fantastic compilation that even acts as its own unique entry in the series. I honestly wish more remakes took the approach this game did-- it made the original trilogy feel much more cohesive!

It's so cool this game became more accessible in recent years!

I am endlessly fascinated by FE64 and the little snippets we know (especially as someone who adores both Tellius and Elibe)

Honestly, a dream game of mine is just "Fire Emblem, but if it looks like it came out for N64" 😂

What's the game? Looks fun
November 19, 2025 at 9:16 PM
76- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Not exactly what I wanted it to be, but I respect the approach this game took to letting us pull the curtain back a bit on Zelda's time in the past

Calamo and the Knight Construct are excellent. Cadlan is my fav

I think so. You won't get very far in an average plane ride but it will probably be enough time to get you into the atmosphere and story.
