In a referendum held in the Canadian province of Yukon, a majority of voters voted in favour of electoral reform. Following a recommendation by a Citizens' Assembly, 56.1 per cent voted in favour of changing the electoral system.

On 7 November, a citizens' jury on the topic of ‘Heat protection in Marzahn-Nord’ will begin in the Berlin district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf. At the end of the process, a resident survey will be conducted on the recommendations of the mini-public.

Other German states already have them, and now Brandenburg is set to follow suit: randomly selected citizens' assemblies. The state parliament is expected to pass a resolution to this effect in September 2025.
