Can we start simplifying and emphasizing the obvious: RePugs driving force is racism. Voters and elected leaders both. Until Dem Leadership starts presenting this simple truth clearly and loudly any message will get lost in the churn.

40% still support the rapist in chief. In electoral redistricting battle that’s your threshold. 1) the confidence game works cuz folks never admit they’ve been conned- they go deeper; 2) you will never convert RePug votes in significant numbers- you can only discourage from voting [2nd threshold]

Democrats need to follow the “rule of three.” First leader wins it (pick now to push winning messaging). Second leader to fix it (control the selection and run the campaign to win it). Third leader runs it (Prez). You need to at least have a very visible “first leader.”

Historically Dems solve problems by solving problems. RePugs solve problems by blaming. Unfortunately blaming is emotionally easier to sell especially in a dumbed down voter pool == voting emotionally. How to make problem solving emotional is one of the key challenges to messaging success.

Can we finally say “you can’t trust not negotiate with any and all RePugs”? Have we at least learned this lesson?

Seen on demo underground:

The road ahead will be brutal. The simple truth is that the era of American greatness that defined an 80-year epoch is over. It has come to an end with an act of national suicide.
MAGA was the poison.
Trump was the weapon.
Indifference was the gun.

Perusing Bluesky shows a dominant tension between “WTF?!? Do something, do anything!” and “let’s not get carried away.” My favorite: “stop demanding termination of ICE, we need to say retrain.” Can you imagine the Nirenberg Trials discussing retraining the SS? Is it me?
January 15, 2026 at 3:48 PM
7-2. We can’t even keep the Dem Wing of the SC unified. Oh sorry, I’ve politicized the SC🤪
January 15, 2026 at 8:28 AM
If/when we survive the current state of the union, anytime the MSM/Repugs attempt to criticize, attack, whatever, every elected Dem and their staff should be trained to reply “Trump” and walk away.
January 14, 2026 at 1:33 AM
I like to refer to the road we’re on as “Putin’s Path.” Based on an asymmetric abuse of our culture divide, wealth imbalance, info ops injected into our love of social media, significant level of low information voters and lots of kompromat on key officials. I get a headache thinking on it.

Is anybody tracking the oligarchs’ currency trading activity? That should tell an interesting story.

In Greece right now. USD value has been plunging. If Project 2025 takes Fed Reserve watch out. Yes I know there are massive complexities involved but imagine if Blue States started individual negotiations with EU. One can dream?

Does anyone think it crazy to have an overall Dem Top Dog primary now rather than wait until 2028 election? Any success I’ve had always started with a leader who focused and forced a common purpose. IDK, just feels right.
January 10, 2026 at 5:15 PM
Is it cynicism to to have negative reactions to Dem senators I voted for vote in favor of the crypto bill and multiple Trump appointees? Is it cynicism to have negative reactions to the lack of Dem leadership participation and strong vocal support of the Indivisible protests (I was at many)? etc.
January 10, 2026 at 10:27 AM
Has anyone checked out the Dem Senate caucus website? It’s as if they are living in a different universe.
January 10, 2026 at 1:12 AM
putting on my nerd: Trump is like a multi-pole/multi-throw switch where the switch itself has no intelligence and on one side are lots of evil/incompetence and the other has lots of shit storms. there's no matching or parameters in the design so there's a high probability of catastrophic failure.

anyone else noticing Kristi Noem is looking like Iris from Companion? just sayin'

Unless you figure out how to thaw ice the blue wave will disappear in a hail of really bad behavior.
January 8, 2026 at 11:25 AM
since the last Dem presidential candidate was selected by fiat, lets petition to have Walz take over the DNC.
January 7, 2026 at 12:16 PM
and lets count all the national level Democratic Leadership support Walz got through this BS: zero. unbelievable.
January 7, 2026 at 11:58 AM
at the national level, our elected Dem leaders and their mouthpieces are all like “trust us, we know what we’re doing we follow the rules.” Yeah, ok. Nobody, and I mean nobody, knows what’s going to happen Nov 2026 but it will be an inflection point.
January 6, 2026 at 3:12 PM
in my experience successfully building something/anything large and complex (e.g. functioning government, new media reaching over 66% of population, toaster oven, etc.) requires leadership, solid team, common goal, effective communication. Not being sarcastic: who is the Democratic Leader?
January 5, 2026 at 12:17 PM
Furious Democrat Leaders have an idea of a concept of an outline of a strongly worded email of a plan to develop a plan.
January 4, 2026 at 8:15 PM
What incentive does the Trump administration have to stop doing lunacy? RePugs are ok with it. Dems aren’t doing anything (but posting on social media). Media is all in. Oligarchs are all in. Military is all in. Failing at “Stopping Bullies 101.”
