I’d rather be excluded for whom I include, than included for whom I exclude. Queer aro/ace cat dad in San Francisco.
I’d like to remind San Francisco that our Mayor is a billionaire heir and ALL his decisions are made through that lens.

“No Kings, No Oligarchs” applies to him too, if you actually live by your rhetoric.

Just wondering if “vote blue no matter who” applied to Fetterman or if we should be universally applying higher standards than that.
February 6, 2026 at 9:51 PM
Not a “vote blue no matter who” and more of a “vote socialist regardless who they list”.

If people actually cared about defeating fascism, they’d vote in direct opposition of it, not for a more palatable version of it.

Tired and angry about being tired and angry.

*closes eyes, rubs temples, and quietly repeats “cats… cats… cats…” to self*

My cats’ three favorite toys: Avi Mercado, Kuzco, and Kuzco Blanco

I honestly think nerd-bashing Ross on Friends exacerbated an already prevalent anti-intellectualism in American culture.

He needed to be bashed for his rampant misogyny.

As a San Franciscan I have voted for Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom multiple times throughout their careers since I became of voting age in 2004, and I am saying now we need better candidates for the primaries. In 2019 I would have endorsed a Harris/Newsom ticket, but not anymore.

Red districts turning blue sounds great and all until you realize how many R’s are changing parties, but not ideologies.

Am in bed, and both Ciarán and Ianto were sitting on my chest, purring loudly, and rubbing foreheads against mine. I take a second to look at their little faces, and I say out loud “I am so lucky.” Then Ianto turns around and presses his asshole against the tip of my nose.

I think we should start loudly counting non-voters and 3rd party voters in elections results. 2024 wasn’t a 51/49 split, it was more of a 25/23/1/51 split.

Because 3rd party votes are complete rejections of the status quo and non-votes are endorsements of it.

Have Georgia on my mind. Literally. Knitting a hat with @lolabeanyarnco.com and shaking my fist in the direction of the FBI’s illegal raid on Fulton County voting records.

Thinking about Littlefinger’s last scene in GOT. No reason.

Tons of middle and high schoolers starting to gather for the walk out. Some my-age peeps starting to trickle in but the mass of young people is very inspiring.

We’d be an infinitely cooler country if the 2A was about crossbows.

“Imagine if Harris had won”

Well, imagine if Claudia De La Cruz won. We’d be in an even better position than we would be with Harris. Socialism for the poor, disbanded DHS, AND an end to genocides committed by the USA.

But y’all are too capitalistic to any further left than the former VP.

WFH life as a chronically ill cat dad.

Anyone who shamed people for not fawning over Harris enough that are now on the “Abolish ICE” train are gonna have to do some cognitive wrestling come 2028.

Finally starting to get my knitting mojo back since Mason started to get sick in July 2024.

The current political climate makes me want to repeatedly stab things more than my grief zaps my joy so back to crafting I go.

Just in my life there have been countless examples of state violence against peaceful citizens. I can’t fathom the disconnect in the brains of people who are just now saying it’s bad.

Where the fuck have you been? Probably stepping over unhoused folks to get your bottomless mimosas each Sunday.

“No one had to protest under Biden!”

I know time has been feeling wonky lately but 2023 wasn’t *that* long ago, you already forgot students got beaten by police for objecting Biden’s heavy hand in Gaza’s destruction?

Stop lamenting over an America that existed only in your head and face reality. ✌🏻

Very like me to have these pins next to each other on my knitting bag.
January 25, 2026 at 6:42 PM
Knitting and cats keep me sane.

Not usually concurrently, tho.

I used to think the greatest feeling in the world was when a cat would fall asleep on my shoulder while I was in bed.

I now believe the greatest feeling in the world is when 2 cats fall asleep on my shoulder while I am in bed.

I suspect 3 would be even greater still. 4 might be pushing it.

I honestly believe the only people that should be elected President are people that can do, but do not seek, the office. Wanting to be President is more often than not wanting the power, not the responsibility. Better to give the responsibility to someone without drive for power.
January 20, 2026 at 4:00 PM
I’ll never be convinced that Biden/Harris attacking Gaza protestors on campus didn’t directly lead us to this amp-up of ICE violence. Vilifying protestors always emboldens fascism.
