Prototype of the tower. Found that having the character be a climber mirrors the tension of building the tower, as your on edge that it will fall. Just need to test how it animates now with the footage

A little breakdown of how the laser finger guns were put together

Filmed my hand with my phone and keyed out the background. It's the same hand, just mirrored for the red one and then cutting up the time.

The laser was made using shape layers and glow effects

Vortex #animation from FreakStar #musicvideo

The band liked the theme of hands and retro effects. I liked the character portraits in Star Fox. So copied that for the band faces

They wanted the video to get busier as the video progressed. So I set it up to look like levels progressing in a game

Making a neon vortex in After Effects. Showing the build up of each shape

It's all done with repeaters on each shape. It's a nice simple but cool motion graphics effects

Making Barrier Grid #animation

It uses an image made of lines (a moiré pattern) moving across a line grid cut out of card. Pulling the image across produces the illusion of movement similar to how a #zoetrope works.

Jules Verne exhibition i went to at IDEAL in Barcelona.
Amazing use of #animation to help bring his work to life. In the room, you were taken to each world in an amazing display. I wasn't allowed to film but they also had an amazing #VR experience that was the best I've used.

Made a controller in #blender to make plants bloom on objects. Here is some test footage I made for the band FreekStar #animation #musicvideo
