Is that graphic an intentional nod to Richard and Linda Thompson?

It's my daughter's birthday and my starting word came up on Wordle... a doubly auspicious day!

The most important lesson for Labour is that they need to improve their typeface and branding.

The new Springsteen box set is magnificent.
Alternate versions, outtakes and new recordings of songs from one of the greatest albums of all time.
It's had "mixed" reviews, but if you like Springsteen you'll love it.
And if you're interested in songwriting you'll love it.
Try it.

The Huguenot Museum in Rochester (Kent, not NY) is full of reminders of the many wonderful benefits brought to Britain by refugees.
Today was a celebration of the acquisition of Francis Barraud's "His Master's Voice" from HMVs old Oxford Street store.
Lovely to meet so many of the artist's family.

The freshly opened centre for humanities at Oxford University looks amazing.
Not bad as the new home for the Tories' "rip-off degrees".

I tell you who did win the Nobel Peace Prize: The European Union, in 2012, for" promoting peace, democracy and human rights for six decades".
And they deserved it.

An amazing story from the new biography of Billy Bragg, told through the eyes of his fans.
Geoff had taken his 15 year-old son George to see him during a trip to France in 2008...

Astonished to find this flyer from GymBox circa 2009.
What were they thinking? How did anyone ever think it was clever or OK? How are they still in business?
A slice of the haves sneering at the have-nots that helps explain some of the forces that have shaped subsequent British politics.

Why on earth is the BBC running a live blog of this American hate fest?
The murder of Charlie Kirk was sad and significant, but do we really need live coverage of a series of white men seeking to make political capital from it?
Why is a public service broadcaster amplifying his hateful views?
