Dark winter nights only become a problem when other humans appear on the scene. I mean… Ok, you could trip on something unseen if it was really dark, but it’s when other humans appear that it’s scary. :/

Same. Also, I forget stuff and like to have some fallbacks at work, including some meds and clothes for days I get it wrong (adding layers to be warmer, eg). The two lockers are a life saver.

Also, my manager is good at reminding me of things I struggle to remember and knows I can’t manage extra stuff like clubs and events but still asks without pressure so I never feel left out.

Well, they let me have two lockers in recognition of my ADHD related spread (things I keep at work, and things I come and go with). Also, I have access to a very quiet office, and there is a quiet room. I am not stopped from concentration doodling meetings, which helps my focus.

Oh, and in the case if my work, I *really* appreciate all the effort they put into trying to understand and accommodate in my team and in the wider institution. I have to say this because it’s true.

That the chatter in the office is driving my nervous system crazy and my shoulders are around my ears with tension.

That I cannot change direction from a task I have been given to do at the drop of the hat. That every time a rota that has been given to me changes, I struggle and will pay the price on my days off. That I cannot hit the ground running because I am already ‘wounded’ by commuting and need a time.
