It’s extremely rare but possible! The sun goes through an 11-year cycle, alternating between high activity & sunspots (resulting in frequent auroras) and low activity. Oct ‘24 was deemed to be the maximum of the current cycle and makes sense considering some of the wildly vibrant Aurora recently.
