It's important to remember the distinction being made here: the third child of the poorest families is a scrounger in 'Benefits Britain' and a person who owns property worth seven times more than the national average is 'poor'.

We need higher levels of migration economically and in the public sector - especially as the govt is neglecting to fix things like Social Care or be real over HE funding. But politically they have, for now, stopped stepping on rakes and instead just thrown them 10ft in front of them.

Get your grandad to do laps of the house for charity, build and then knock down a swimming pool extension with the profits. That'll do it.

Look, they want an exodus leaving but they just want to do it by forcibly rounding people up instead...

Lol, I am too deep into this and furious now to make that distinction but glad you stated it for the record.

Last I checked it was around 5%ish but it's a difficult one to put any precise figures on.

Part of the wider societal and economic challenges affecting birth rates.

Anyway, had enough. They can all go fuck themselves to Dubai.

The fucking weirdo Musk/Altman coded approach to fertility.

I mean, we get it. You want white, middle-class children and nothing else. Just say it instead of going round the roundabout of pretending you aren't a racist, up-yourself bastard.

Also, spare me the irony of the alt, far and weird right who go on and on and on with their weird solutions to increasing birth rates but then get themselves into an aneurysm over one policy which might actually boost birth rates.

I literally couldn't give a fuck about whether you think it's unfair or 'benefits Britain' or whatever. It was a callous policy.

The government have made a fiscal decision here which is morally right and will have an immediate success in tackling child poverty.

Frankly, if you're pissed off at that, even if you are part of the majority, it exposes more about your own prejudices and misconceptions than anything else.

Never mind global shock, a couple more JLR incidents or more involvement in Ukraine on top of the incoming effects on SEND and Local Government and they'll have to.

All this was the case at this budget, at the spending review, when they u-turned on WFA/PIP, the Defence uplift, the last budget, the black hole talk last summer, the election, waaay back to when they inexplicably chose to tie themselves to the suicidal NI cuts Hunt made in 23/24.
