3/ In #Spain for instance, 1 in every 2 people of a migrant background are overqualified for their jobs. The process for “homologación” (degree recognition) lasts years, during which qualified migrants work in menial jobs or do not work at all.

The report estimates that the European economy could grow by €33.8 billion if migrants worked the same jobs and earned the same wages as comparable natives ❗
