I don't know how I would react, but I don't believe it would be particularly positive. Like it would make further interactions awkward because because of that knowledge. Feels like it leave one in a no win situation.

Yeah. Like the asking is the only thing that actually involves anyone else and would even need consent in the first place which makes it all feel so weird. Like now yes means something but no would imply I believe in thought crimes.

I guess what I find weird about the asking is the fact that it feels invasive, but there's nothing inherently wrong with that if the relationship's okay with that. But also I don't think people need to ask from it permission to think about things. Like the thought of a person is not a person.
